Billy Marchese helms Contributor Films and is a 25 yr. veteran in the entertainment industry. He is a well-traveled global film- maker whose clients include National Geographic, Discovery, the BBC, PBS, Netflix, ABC News and ESPN. Billy’s rich experience as an award-winning Producer, Director, Cameraman and Editor have provided him with the right ingredients to create and communicate effective and memorable content.

 

He began his career working as a camera assistant on commercials, features and music videos. His directorial debut was the award-winning documentary "Beyond the Summit, The Everest Environmental Expedition," narrated by Sharon Stone that aired worldwide on The National Geographic Channel. Since then he has traveled the planet, having shot in 42 countries working on documentaries, television news special programming and branded content.

 

Creative, experienced and persevering, Billy is a collaborator in every sense of the word. He has shot projects in just about every environment imaginable and goes above and beyond the initial scope to achieve the highest production value attainable.

 

He is an active member of the International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600 and serves as a member of the board of directors on Non Profits, Wicahpi Koyaka Tiospaye and Roots and Wings. He resides in both Venice, CA and Big Bear Lake, CA with his wife, two children and two dogs.
